An Endoscopic Brow Lift (also called an endoscopic forehead lift) is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that elevates the position of the eyebrows and smoothens forehead wrinkles by releasing and repositioning the soft tissues of the forehead. Unlike traditional brow lifts that require a long incision across the scalp, the endoscopic technique uses several small incisions (typically 12 cm) hidden behind the hairline.
A small camera (endoscope) is inserted through one of the incisions to allow the surgeon to visualize the tissue and muscle layers on a monitor in real time. Using specialized instruments, the surgeon gently lifts and secures the brow tissues to a more youthful position, sometimes using endotine fixation devices or absorbable sutures.
The procedure often weakens or selectively removes parts of the corrugator or procerus muscles to smooth the glabellar area (between the eyebrows).
